The Resurrection is Good News Worth Celebrating!!
FACT: Jesus Christ has given YOU a gift – the gift of salvation! But like with any gift YOU have a CHOICE to RECEIVE it or not … Jesus willingly died on the cross as a substitute for you and me – for our sins! Three days later He rose from the dead & defeated the power of death – The Resurrection!!
If you’ve ever lied, stolen anything, used God’s name as a swear word, disrespected your parents and/or broken any of the other 10 Commandments – you have sinned against God!
And … there is NOTHING that we can do to earn forgiveness for our sins –
NO THING.
We need to receive Jesus’ gift of salvation in order to be reconciled & forgiven by God so that we can be born-again … and to be 100% sure we will go to Heaven when we die!
Jesus Christ willingly shed his blood on the cross as a sacrifice and a substitute for you and me. Because of His shed blood — His sacrifice — He made a way so that you and I could be forgiven of our sins and brought into a right relationship with GOD – We don’t have to live empty, meaningless lives & we don’t have to spend an eternity in Hell – THIS is the “Good News”!!!
Did you know: A born-again relationship with Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to be forgiven of your sins and to go to Heaven. The Bible says: “…Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”(John 3:3).
It’s pretty simple!! Being “born-again” means that you:
A: Admit you’re a sinner
B: Believe Jesus died on the cross for your sins
C: Confess that Jesus is the Lord of your life – ask Him into your heart
If you do this sincerely, the Bible promises that the Holy Spirit comes to live in you and you are brought into a right relationship with God – “born again” spiritually!! (Romans 10:9)
This is NOT about empty religion, rigid rules & meaningless rituals – but about a personal, intimate, real relationship with the Living God — not about a bunch of “head” knowledge but about a “heart” relationship.
The Bible says that God has inscribed your name on the palm of His hand (Isaiah 49:16), He knows the very number of hairs on your head (Matthew 10:30), and that He knows the plans He has for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you (Jeremiah 29:11). He already knows you and wants you to know Him!!
But … unless you have a received Jesus’ gift of salvation, you won’t be able to know any of these things.
YOUR NEXT BREATH IS NOT GUARANTEED!!
If you are not 100% that you are going to Heaven when you die …
If you do not know for sure if you have been forgiven of your sins …
If you do not have a born again relationship with Jesus Christ …
